ARCHIVAL INFORMATION
Appraisal, destruction and scheduling information: All records offered were originally accepted and listed. However, the records were re-appraised in March 2000 and a decision made to sample the day-books and cashbooks rather than retain the entire series. Day-books for 1934-1956 and 1956-1964, and cashbooks for 1937-1957 and 1957-1973, have been destroyed. A postage book (1942-1953) has also been destroyed.
