In 1998, the Marine Safety Agency and the Coastguard Agency merged and became the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). HM Coastguard operated stations around the Pembrokeshire coaast including St Anns Head Station, Dale; Wooltack Point, Marloes; Newport; and Angle Station; they undertook rescues, training, wreck services and salvage.
