CONTEXT

Administrative and biographical history: Wick is an ancient parish within the western division of the rural deanery of Groneath Lower in the diocese of Llandaff. It is situated between the towns of Bridgend and Cowbridge in the hundred of Ogmore. The parish church is dedicated to St. James and formerly served as a chapel of ease to the parish of St. Brideā€TMs Major. It was restored in 1878.
