Archives Wales reader’s ticket launched

From January 2010, the Archives Wales reader's ticket is valid for use in eight archives across West and Mid Wales.  This ticket gives you access to the wealth of archive material kept in the archives of Swansea University, West Glamorgan, Neath Antiquarian Society, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Powys, and can be obtained from any of these offices.  It is also recognised for entry to Ceredigion Archives and the Royal Commission for the Ancient and Historic Monuments of Wales.  To sign up for a ticket, bring two documents with you when you visit which show your signature and confirm your address. Fuller details of what documents to bring are available from the participating services.  Your ticket is free of charge and will remain valid for five years from the day you register.
